jet lag is awful…i know it’s not too bad of a time stretch from here to Hawaii!. I traveled about 16 hours and i’m exhausted I still feel like I’m in the water and in the plane all the while with my feet feeling like the size of balloons. I’m cranky I guess?
It was really scary/interesting being a small part of the Japan earthquake/tsunami. I went to Hawaii for my brothers wedding and his, now wife :), is from Japan. Her family was stuck in a car for 24 hours just trying to get to the airport. We left only seeing the small stream of pictures trickling in through the news. Then we were gone for a week only seeing glimpses here and there of the damage in Japan. With my new (!) family members going back to Japan just three days after the incident it was nerve wracking to know what they were going back to, far from the feeling of tropical bliss. I have not heard how they are doing but they live in Tokyo so we are hoping for the best. I’m just so, so happy they were not hurt, or even worse. I can’t imagine how Miho, my brothers wife, felt just days before her wedding with something like that happening to her family. The ceremony was AWESOME. The food was SPECTACULAR. And the company was so, so nice, giving and relaxing to be around.
I wish I could eat pineapple everyday fresh like we did.
